Jon M. Wertjes serves as the President of AMK9 and is responsible for the overall management and direction of AMK9 products and services and integrating them within the larger picture of Constellis. He also ensures that all organization operations and activities are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.

Previously, Mr. Wertjes has served at ITC Capital Partners and ITC Security Partners as Chief Operating Officer and President of AMK9, at SOC, LLC as Vice President of International Operations, at the U.S Department of State Bureau of Diplomatic Security as the Security Training Director, MSG Branch, and in various capacities over 25 years in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Mr. Wertjes has spent a lifetime managing training and security operations all over the world. Throughout his career, Mr. Wertjes’ core values have been integrity, safety, and a dedication to his clients, personnel, and business success. He is recognized for on-time and on-budget delivery of client needs while focusing on contractual compliance, adherence to federal regulations and corporate policies, as well as maximizing cost savings to ensure profitability.

Tisha Mullen’s role as Director of Global Support serves as the backbone of AMK9 operations. She is responsible for supply chain operations, personnel recruiting and deployment for all AMK9 contracts worldwide. She has been at the heart of AMK9 since 2011, her passion for continuous improvement and unwavering loyalty have provided her the opportunity to lead, to challenge others, and to be challenged every day.

Prior to joining AMK9, Ms. Mullen served as the Country Logistics Manager for SOC in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was while working in Iraq, she was tasked with finding a way to move AMK9’s dog’s into and out of country. Challenge accepted! Her first canine shipment was the largest live animal shipment from Iraq to the U.S. on a commercial airplane, 31 dogs. Only superseded by herself while working for AMK9 from her 2015 movement of 92 dogs at one time from Afghanistan.

Ms. Mullen holds an MBA in Transformational Leadership and a BSA in Business Administration. She is an ISO 9001-2011 Certified Auditor and received her Six Sigma Black belt from Point University in 2018.

Stemming from her years of management, compliance and maintenance with ITAR, DOT, ATF, DEA, FAR & DCMA, Ms. Mullen’s expertise ensures that AMK9 is operating in a safe and compliant manner.

Mr. Dredden has over 15 years of working dog (explosive/ narcotic detection, obedience, patrol dog training and operational) experience. During his time with the US Air Force, positions held were Military Working Dog Kennel Master Course Instructor, Kennel Master, Trainer, Flight Chief, Security Member, Evaluator, and Technical Advisor.

After his honorable departure from the Air Force in March 2010, Mr. Dredden served in the private sector working for AMK9 since March 2010 as Kennel Master, Regional Manager/ Project Manager, Deployments Manager, Program Manager, Country Manager, and Director of Training.

He has overseen, trained, and managed over 500 Working Dog Teams for commercial and government entities including the Department of Defense and Department of State at various domestic venues or hostile/high-threat environments in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

As Director of K9 Programs, Kailyn is responsible for cultivating customer relationships, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and marketing the AMK9 brand. She is also responsible for growing current operations through continued customer contact. Prior to joining AMK9, Kailyn worked as part of the larger Constellis organization filling various key roles in operations, finance, and proposal preparation. During this time, she spent a year as acting Project Manager for an $8M project portfolio under Mission Support.

Prior to joining Constellis, she worked and volunteered in a number of positions that were largely focused in marketing, sales, and event management. Kailyn holds a B.A. in International Relations from Regent University and is currently pursuing an M.S. in Applied Economics with John’s Hopkins University.

Bill Chipman is currently serving as the Director of Operations for American Canine Detection Services (AMK9), based out of Moyock, North Carolina. Since 2011, Bill has been a part of the Canine Industry and currently serves as the Program Director for all AMK9 Operations as a business, providing on-the-ground leadership to more than 400 canines teams based out of the United States of America, Iraq, Afghanistan, Mali, and other various international locations. Bill has more than 15 years of Program Management experience, 12 of which he spent working on DoD, DoS, and NATO-sponsored contracts.

Also included is his experience as Operations Manager for LOGCAP III in 2004, where he managed day-to-day operations for over 16 sites, supporting nearly 50,000 soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines in Iraq for six years. Bill holds an Associate’s Degree from the North Central Michigan College (NCMC).
