AMK9 Awarded Contract for Defense Logistics Agency

Lake Mary, FL / USA, -September 17, 2010- The Defense Logistics Agency has awarded American K-9 Detection Services, Inc. (AMK9) a 3-year contract to support security awareness and anti terrorism measures at Defense Distribution Depot San Joaquin, CA (DDJC), Tracy and Sharpe sites, for the protection of employees, visitors, information, and properties.

DDJC serves as a logistics center for military readiness. Their mission is to receive, ship and store goods and materials in support of the United States Armed Forces. In an effort to seamlessly serve the U.S Military, DDJC has chosen to use AMK9 EDD and NDD teams in their proactive approach to counter-terrorism measures. The EDD and NDD teams will be used in conducting routine explosive and narcotics searches of vehicles, cargo, deliveries, buildings and the perimeter. AMK9 working dog teams not only provide deterrence of hostile attack but also security awareness and proven protection for employees, visitors, information and property.
