AMK9 Awarded Contract Option Year Supporting Combined Joint Operations Area-Afghanistan

Lake Mary, Florida/USA – 31, January, 2012 – Less than one year after mobilizing the largest canine detection contract ever awarded by the United States Government (USG) to American K-9 Detection Services, LLC (AMK9),  the USG has exercised the first of four option years of the contract.  AMK9 is proud to continue our service to the Combined Joint Operations Area-Afghanistan (CJOA-A), providing Patrol Explosive Detection Dog (PEDD) and Patrol Narcotics Detection Dog (PNDD) Teams.

The primary role of Contract Working Dog (CWD) Teams on this contract is to support current security operations through PEDD and PNDD efforts of military force protection, and entry control point security in coordination with US Forces Afghanistan (USFOR-A) and Multi National Forces Afghanistan (MNF-A).  To date, AMK9 CWD Teams have discovered IEDs, located bulk and trace explosives, and recovered narcotics, time and again ensuring the safety of the troops who serve overseas.  AMK9 is committed to the security of our troops and considers it an honor to utilize our unique skills and talents to provide one of the most effective securities measures available in protecting the USFOR-A and MNF-A.

AMK9 values integrity and excellence in each mission.  Through success, our capabilities have grown, allowing AMK9 to reach customers in a wide variety of environments.  Our proven performance enables us to continuously fulfill our commitment of providing world class canine detection services to military, governmental, non-governmental, and private entities worldwide.
